our classes
Our Brisbane dojo runs karate classes every Tuesday and Thursday evening. From beginners to advanced, everyone is welcome. At BrisKarate, karate is inclusive and welcoming.
Our classes are multi-level, which means you’ll learn from Sensei Anthony, as well as by watching and working with other students in your class and the broader Chito-Ryu karate community. We currently offer tuition from 5 years and up, split into the following classes:
Little Champions - 5-7 Years
Kids Karate - 8-13
Family/All Ages
Adult

Little Champions (Ages 5-7)
Our Little Champions program is the perfect introduction to karate for young beginners.
Through fun, engaging activities, children build confidence, coordination, and focus in a safe, supportive environment.
Little Champions karate isn’t just about learning the basics, it’s about giving them skills that reach far beyond the dojo.
-
Kids Karate (Ages 8-13)
Kids Karate challenges growing minds and bodies in the best way - but it’s about much more than learning how to punch.
With structured classes that balance discipline and fun, students develop respect, resilience, and confidence while progressing through their karate journey step by step.
Our classes are a fun and supportive environment, where kids develop karate skills as well as friendships, self-control, and an appreciation for the rewards of working hard.
-
Family/all ages
Our Family classes bring everyone together on the mats. Parents and kids can train side by side, share achievements, and support one another, making karate a rewarding experience you can enjoy as a family.
Whether you’re starting karate together, introducing your children to an activity you love, or they’ve begged you to get on the mat, everyone is welcome.
-
Adults
Whether you’re looking for fitness, focus, or a new challenge, our Adults program is designed to inspire growth at every level. Training in authentic Chito-Ryu karate helps build strength, relieve stress, and keep both body and mind sharp.
In our classes, karate is about challenging yourself, not competing with others. We’ve taught beginners of all ages, from children right through to seniors - it’s never too late to start.
